Unique art on Unique Sats

Why Rare Sats?

The Bitcoin Ordinals protocol allows each satoshi to be uniquely identified and tracked, enabling the creation of digital artifacts directly on the Bitcoin blockchain. Satoshis from earlier blocks, especially those mined by Satoshi Nakamoto, are often considered to have historical and collectible value.

Rare Sats - A.K.A "Rodamor Rarity Index" refer to sats that fall within the rarity categories:

  • common: Any sat that is not the first sat of its block

  • uncommon: The first sat of each block

  • rare: The first sat of each difficulty adjustment period

  • epic: The first sat of each halving epoch

  • legendary: The first sat of each cycle

  • mythic: The first sat of the genesis block

Exotic Sats - hold unique attributes other than their names or rarity. Some examples are a sat with a specific number sequence or a sat tied to a historical event.

Because rare and exotic sats hold significant value and provenance onchain, we believe that creating our "experiments" on specific notable sats will hold greater value for our collectors and community.

Sats represent the smallest divisible unit of a Bitcoin. They also come with their own unique "sattributes" that are coveted within the Ordinals community.

All of our onchain experiments are done on Rare Sats. We view this as a signature of our creations.
